Who is PIN Ministry?
PIN (People in Need) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that serves the Homeless in Hampton Roads.
Services offered by PIN include: food, clothing, hygiene supplies, living necessities, medical care, and shelter.
PiN began in 2002 with 12 sandwiches being shared with 5 homeless people at Veterans Memorial in Virginia Beach. PiN now serves over 200 homeless people in Virginia Beach
every Saturday and Sunday.
PIN’s Medical Ministry has been growing since the first nurse volunteered in 2005; PiN now has 3 nurses that volunteer every month and seeks to provide prescriptions for every homeless person that is in need.
Your Corporate Sponsorship of the PingPong®forPOVERTY Charity Tournament will directly aid PiN’s mission to provide free medical care for people that are either homeless or extremely poor.
It will also provide the foundation of resources needed for PiN’s vision to create a medical shelter for the homeless of Virginia Beach. The homeless don’t have easy access to medical care, and what they have is not always the best. With your help, PiN can create a system of health care that will give the homeless access to doctors and nurses; something that most of us take for granted.
