WHO’S BEHIND IT ALL……

The Annual PingPong®forPOVERTY.com Charity Tournament is managed by AdImpact Marketing, a Special Events and Media Consulting agency.  However, without the dedication of Family, Friends, Neighbors, Peers, Volunteers and of course, our Sponsor Partners, the event would not be nearly as successful as it has become!  Each member of our team is has a heart to help the homeless, the poor and less fortunate — and to promote the sport of Ping Pong(R).

The idea that became reality in 2008 by Ken Lees, was influenced heavily by his father, Larry Lees.  Ken and his Dad would not only play Ping Pong in the garage at any waking moment, but Ken would travel along the East Coast to cheer his Dad on at Ping Pong tournaments he played in.   Essentially, the sport entered the blood veins and never left.  Ken took the love of Ping Pong, applied some marketing to it and figured out how he could serve others by doing something meaningful.    To date, the PingPongforPOVERTY Charity Tournament has raised over $100,000 for PiN Ministry –providing  help to those who need food, shelter, medical care and so much more, including a friend or a relationship they can count on.

And as added benefits, the event brings families together, is great excercise and pomotes the sport of Ping Pong, the 5th fastest growing sport in the country!
